‘Trust Differentiates  Our Administration from Jonathan’s’

The presidency yesterday reacted to the allegation by former President Goodluck Jonathan that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had done nothing since its advent over two years ago.

Chief presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina in a tweet on his twitter handle@ FemAdesina, said Nigerians trusted the administration of Buhari when compared to that of former president.

The former president who said the current administration was only good at lies and propaganda, said whereas the current Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola had boasted that any serious government would fix power in six months, the government has been unable to do so almost two and half years thereafter.

He also said fuel price had remained as high as N145 per litre despite the drastic fall of oil price in the global market.

But Adesina in his tweet, said when the federal government increased the pump price of fuel to as high as N145, Nigerians accepted it in good faith.

According to him, this was antithetical to the situation when the country was shut down in 2012 after Jonathan’s administration did the same thing.

He said trust was the underlying factor between the reactions of Nigerians to the two situations.

“When petrol went to N145 under PMB, Nigerians held their peace unlike when they shut the country in 2012.”

The difference is trust. Simple,” he tweeted.
