Waldrum Replaces Omagbemi as Falcons Coach

The board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved the appointment of American Randy Waldrum as new Super Falcons head coach.

He has replaced Florence Omagbemi, who led the falcons to win the African Women’s Championship in Cameroon last year.

“The board approved the recommendation of the technical and development committee for the appointment of Mr. Randy Waldrum as Technical Adviser of the Super Falcons, and directed the Secretariat to immediately conclude negotiations with Waldrum,” read in part a communiqué after the board meeting in Jos.

The 61-year-old Waldrum coaches Houston Dash as well as the women’s team of Trinidad and Tobago.
However, the board was silent on the appointment of the other national team coaches.
