Following up on its partnership deal with the Ogun State Ministry of Health on health support, Raffles Oil LFTZ Enterprise, manufacturers of Power Oil, has strengthened its commitment to the well-being of residents in the state by deploying its health camp team across three primary health centres in the state to support and facilitate vital checks.
 The beneficiary centres included Ita Alapo Family Health Centre in Ijebu Ode Local government, Ota Primary Health Centre in Ado Odo Otta Local Government and Obantoko Primary Health Centre under Odeda Local Government.
 At the formal launch of the initiative at Ogun State Ministry of Health Secretariat, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, the firm’s Public Relations Manager, Mrs. Omotayo Azeez- Abiodun, stated that the latest development was geared towards achieving deeper outreach result in the state as the team would reduce workloads in beneficiary centres as well as reduce the time patients spend in clinic.
 “We are impressed by the reception given us by the state. This has further proved the confidence and trust you have in us as a brand. It is worthy of note to state that the main objective behind our health camp initiative is to bring free basic medical check-up closer to as many Nigerians as possible at different touch points irrespective of locations and we are delighted that we are gradually getting there,†she said.
 In addition to the presence of the health team, the organisation also donated hypertension screening equipment which included blood pressure monitor, BMI device as well as routine hypertension data booklet to register patients’ personal information such as; age, sex, height, weight and check-up to the three centres.
 Staff of the centres were also given lecture and training on hypertension and other heart diseases.
In his remark, Director, Public Health, Ogun State Ministry of Health, Dr. Qudus Yusuff, commended the brand for its unrelenting efforts towards the promotion and encouragement of stable heart health and healthy living amongst Nigerians.
“We are happy we have helping hands that will assist with vital checkup, before our patients progress to see doctors in charge of their respective cases . You will agree with me that this will not only alleviate the burden on these health centres, it will also help to facilitate the amount of time patients will spend during each clinic visit,†he noted.
It would be recalled that the company recently sealed a deal with the state Ministry of Health in a bid to promote public health and improved lifestyle.
