Top Fashion Designer, Uche Ibezue’s Rising Profile

If anyone had told Uche Ibezue that she would someday be a force to reckon with in the world of fashion designs, she would have dismissed it with a wave of the hand

The United States-based fashion designer and the brains behind the popular fashion house, O’ Make Designs, had trained as nurse.

However, her closeness to her mother, Mrs. Nnenna Udonsi, who was also respected fashion designer, had fired her interest in fashion designs.

Today, the brand is one of the fashion houses reputed for creativity and innovation.

In recognition of her rare talent, the  Abia State born designer was recognised in an award by the organisers of the Next Generation Award, NGEA, which was held last Saturday  in Maryland, USA. She was recognised among  the Best Designers  based on her outstanding innovation.

The NGEA is an annual event that celebrates amazing creative works of individuals and groups in the global entertainment industry. It is a prestigious platform where the next generation of celebrities is highly recognised by hundreds of millions of entertainment lovers around the world for their immeasurable contributions.

Ibezue obtained the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Dress-Making from the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos in 1995. Over the years, she has been globetrotting to showcase her works, while also inspiring youths who are interested in the business through African Arts and Fashion Imitative founded by Princess Fifi Ejindu.
