FG Distributes Relief Materials to Victims of Natural Disasters in Ekiti

No fewer than 300 victims of natural disasters in Ekiti State on Friday received relief materials from the federal government.

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, while distributing the materials on behalf of President Muhammad Buhari, assured the people of more goodies from the federal government as democratic dividends for Ekiti citizens.

The minister said Buhari was not unaware of the pangs and plight of
victims of natural disasters like rainstorm and flood which had rendered many homeless.

Materials distributed included bags of rice, millet, cement, corrugated
iron sheets, nails, blankets, mats, clothings, asbestos, underwears,
toiletries and detergents, amongst others.

The distribution of the relief materials was at the auspices of the presidency through the office of the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr. Mustapha Yinusa Maihaja.
