Build Schools in Riverine Communities, Traditional Ruler Appeals to Delta

The traditional ruler of Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Local Government area of Delta State, Oboro Gbaraun II, Agadagba has urged the Delta State Government to massively build schools in the riverine communities to stem the growing violent crimes amongst youths in the area.

He said with education, the rate of youths going into crime, particularly pipeline vandalism and illegal oil bunkering, will reduce if they are availed with education.

The monarch bared his mind weekend while receiving some stakeholders in the education sector led by the Chief Inspector of Education from the state Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Warri South West Local Government office on a courtesy call to his palace.

He expressed joy that the government, at last, has made a move to see to the establishment of schools, seen as a luxury in the riverine communities in the state, with the coming of the stakeholders to assess the situation on ground.

The royal father therefore commended the Chairman of Kokodiagbene for facilitating the visit of the government education team as well as establishing another school in his community through communal effort.
