Seven years old Tope Apanisile, suffering from lower anterior abdomen wall muscular and bladder is urgently in need of N2.2m as part of the entire N4.5m needed to treat the birth defect.

The father, Wale Apanisile noted that the condition has prevented his son from urinating normally like others, stressing that the child consumes fluid than solid food, because of problem of indigestion.

According to him, charitable individuals have been donating towards supporting the surgery billed to be done in India later in October.

While commending some print and electronic media outfits for their support so far, he said from the money raised they have realised N2, 326,203.75, while calling for more financial support to enable them cover the cost.

The father of the child said he made several efforts to reach the Lagos State Government and the state Ministry of Health, but they did not come to his rescue.

“The Ministry of Health kept making me promises which they didn’t fulfill. The financial supports I have received so far are from strangers. The first bladder surgery was done in University of Lagos Teaching Hospital (LUTH) but it was not successful as expected. I really don’t know what caused the bladder issue. For me, he was born this way.

“When the condition became worse, the mother abandoned us. I feel frustrated and sad about the whole experience. I have been living on the fortunes of friends and my family to survive. I’m calling on Nigerians to support me.”

Interested individuals willing to support should send their donations to, Apanisile Wale 0237910788, Guaranty Trust Bank, or call 08030688658.
