Murder Suspect: How We Got N200,000 to Kill

A murder suspect, Idoko Onyekachi of Amalla in Udenu council of Enuhu state on Tuesday gave graphic details of how his gang received N200,000 to murder their kinsman, Onyemaechi Eze over “unresolved issues”.

The said suspect who had been on the run since July 5, this year when the victim, Eze was murdered was finally arrested by the operatives from Udenu police Division last Saturday.

Apart from allegedly confessing to the crime, the suspect also disclosed that a native.doctor in their area hired him and his gang by paying them the said sum for the sole purpose of killing the victim.

Details of the gory story were contained in a press statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Ebere Amaraizu and made available to newsmen.

According to the statement, “suspect who had allegedly fled after committing the alleged offence, was nabbed on 16/9/17 at Inyi in Igboeze North local Government Area of Enugu state through a well coordinated operation borne out of intelligence information”. He said the suspect alongside others had allegedly murdered one Onyemaechi Eze on July 5, 2017 over a yet to be established issue/issues and escaped to avoid being nabbed.

“He is now helping the operatives in their investigations as he has given insight on how he and gang allegedly collected the sum of N200, 000 (Two hundred thousand naira) from the native doctor identified as one Felix Akor whom he alleged had hired them to murder the victim”. He said the victim was alleged to be diabolically responsible for the alleged mysterious death of two siblings of the native doctor’s wife, Blessing and John. “The Native Doctor Felix Akor have been nabbed by the operatives and he is also helping the operatives in their investigations in relation to his alleged nefarious activities,” the PPRO said.
