The Presidential Committee on the North-east Initiative (PCNI) has stated that in spite of the security challenges, which remain a major drawback to its works in the region, it has carried out a good number of interventions in the insurgency-affected states of the North-east, especially in the areas of health and food security.
Vice-Chairman of PCNI, Alhaji Tijjani Tumsah, who disclosed this in Abuja during the monthly coordination meeting of members of PCNI and development partners, said it has recorded successes in its interventions in the North-east recovery efforts.

According to a press release signed by the Chief Information Officer, PCNI, Odutayo Oduseyi, Wednesday, the vice-chairman said that the monthly coordination meeting provided a platform for feedback on issues raised across all sectors during the last meeting.
Tumsah, who was represented by Brig.-Gen. Habila Vintenaba, Chairman, PCNI’s Sub-committee on Peace Building, Security and Stabilisation, said that the feedback from the monthly coordination meeting showed the success of coordinated interventions in the North-east.
He explained that the regular meeting would also enable development actors to effectively coordinate efforts at delivery of all interventions in the region.
