Propak West Africa 2017 Releases Conference Timetable

Propak West Africa has released its much anticipated annual conference timetable to the general public.

Propak West Africa, which is being organised by Afrocet Montgomery, in a statement, confirmed 22 conference sessions and over 30 expert speakers, in its forthcoming conference, that is free to attend.

The conference, which opens September 19 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, for its 5th edition, is expected to attract over 3,000 visitors.

Propak West Africa is an international platform for the packaging, plastics and print communities, where thousands of industry professionals and leading brands will come together to share market insights, cutting-edge technology developments and expertise.

Business Development Director, Afrocet Montgomery, Emma Hooper, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome a variety of respected industry speakers to the Propak conference this year. Each session has been selected to reflect a broad range of themes within the industry such as business strategy, efficiency, sustainability as well as sessions focused on different vertical sectors like food processing, print, pharmaceuticals and many more.”
Among the industry experts confirmed, is packaging giant, Tetra Pak’s Managing Director, Phillipe De Louche, who will take to the stage to discuss ‘Breakthrough packaging technology to boost efficiency for food producers’.
He said: “The purpose of the session is to share Tetra Pak’s experience on developing suitable products for low income consumers, and to convey how a well-balanced approach can work miracles for increasing the demand and cementing a sustainable business.”

With the launch of the brand new ‘Print and Digital Expo’ pavilion, the conference is expected to focus on the print industry with a full day of dedicated sessions in addition to technical print seminars.

“As a sector that holds a great deal of potential, print is something we are very interested in promoting at this year’s show. With the increased cross-over between print and packaging, many of the companies attending this year will be able to discover opportunities for growth and expansion at the dedicated print technical and Conference sessions,” Hooper said.

Some of the print-focused topics this year include ‘Manpower development in the print industry’, ‘Opportunities for printers in a post-recession economy’ and ‘Counting on suppliers for after sales service’. The print-dedicated session is a three day conference that will run from September 19 to 21.

The Conference will also welcome Ishida Europe’s Managing Director, Steve Jones.
“I hope attendees will learn from my session, to gain an understanding of the broad array of benefits to food manufacturers, retailers and consumers obtained by introducing weighing, packing and quality control automation into the supply chain,” Jones said, while confirming his attendance.
