OLX Donates Raincoats to LASTMA

Leading online classifieds, OLX Nigeria, has supported the operations of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, with sets of raincoats.

According to the organisation, this was part of its efforts at ensuring smooth traffic management in the state which was needed for enhaced economic activities.

 The Country Manager of the firm, Lola Masha, added that the gesture was the company’s little way of appreciating the officers of the agency whose operations had been able to avert a number of traffic crises in the state.

“We commend the work of the agency in seeing to free-flowing traffic, safety of road users and providing rescue and emergency services to Lagosians.

“In particular, we are focused on helping and empowering the communities in which we operate, which is why we constantly find ways to partner with key stakeholders who provide value for our users and our community at large,” she stated.

 Speaking during the presentation of the items, General Manager of LASTMA, Olawale Musa, thanked the OLX team for the gesture.

  “We are deeply touched by this recognition given the commitment of our men to work. We specially appreciate this particular donation as we all know that it’s not too easy coordinating traffic in the rainy season. This donation is in the interest of all Lagosians and we promise not to disappoint you all,” he said.

 Musa reiterated that one of the agency’s focus is to make the economy thrive which  was  why its  men work round the clock to ensure continuous smooth flow of traffic, thus creating an atmosphere for a sustainable socio-economic growth.
