Obii Pax Harry: Transforming Lives, Uplifting Women

 By Olaoluwakitan Babatunde

Apostle Obii Pax-Harry will always utilize every given opportunity to tell you why it pays to be humble and value family. This humble, respected international apostle and prophet has never failed to identify with the widows not only in Egbu, Owerri, where the English Bible was translated to Igbo, but to every life she comes across. She is a tested and tried minister of the gospel with several years of untainted ministry background and spiritual lineage. No wonder the Women Christian Association of the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Egbu at their annual Women Christian Association conference honoured her, in recognition of her selfless services, exemplary life and contribution to the church and humanity at large.

Although an Anglican by birth, Obii has in the last five years made several indigent women in Imo state smile via her outreach programme, by providing foot items, clothing and other essential commodities. This year, she went beyond the annual handouts, by introducing empowerments programme, involving teaching women various skills for survival.

For two weeks, the founder of Nehemaih Apostolic Resource Centre in Abuja brought in experts in soap making, weaving, hair dressing and fashion design, to train these women.

It was therefore not in doubt and symbolic that the women gathered at the All Saints Cathedral in Egbu to recognise her humble efforts at uplifting the downtrodden women she described as pillars of their various homes and at least show appreciations to this woman who served under Rev David Carr of Renewal Christian Centre, Solihull, where her intercessory efforts was recognized by the pastor as key to the healing revival that broke out in the church in 2003.

Obii was sent forth in year 2003 and in 2004 she planted a vibrant multi-racial Church “Resurrection Life Assembly, Birmingham”, where she now serves as the senior pastor with the support of her husband, and Pastors Andy and Jenny Lloyd as resident pastors. As a recognized national intercessory prayer leader in the UK, Apostle Obii was part of the UK prayer Leaders Forum for several years, and part of the pastors and leaders forum in the city of Birmingham.

Interestingly, not wanting to be left behind by the women, Obii will take the centre stage again in Owerri when the Imo Broadcasting Commission (IBC) confers on her the Pillar of Society Award.

This is slated for the 31st of August, 2017, in recognition of her creditable performance in her field and also for contributing immensely towards the development of her community, state and in nation building.

She pioneered the well-respected ‘Women Arise International Prayer Ministries’ (now Arise Missions International) with over twenty prayer chapters in the U.K and in China, Swaziland and South Africa.

Born into the Nathan Okeoma Ejiogu family of Egbu Owerri, Obii has a strong calling and heart for media. Her pioneering work with the media in the U.K still lives on in several broadcasting houses such as UCB, Han church, Cross Rhythms Radio, Stoke On Trent, and GodTV.

She was also for several years an executive member of the Christian Broadcasting Council of Great Britain, a radio show host of her own broadcast on TalkGospel.Com and a regular guest on Godtv, UCB and Cross Rhythms.

She pioneered “Britain Prays’ in 2003, a popular monthly on air night vigil in partnership with Cross Rhythms Radio Station, Stoke On Trent, and Women Arise Prayer Network.

In her passion to see the prophetic ministry restored to the Church in the UK, she wrote a training manual, “Developing Passion For the Prophetic” in 2003, and ran a successful School of the Prophets in Birmingham after years of hosting the same with one of her mentors, the globally respected Dr. Paula Price, author of the bestselling “The Prophets Dictionary”.

Apostle Obii is the author of the award winning “Prophetic Engagement- the Issachar Mandate”, now translated into Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese. She is also the author of “Understanding the Future, Breaking Bonds of Wickedness in the Last Days” and the popular prophetic daily devotional book, “Arise and Shine.”

Her mission to Nigeria has given birth to “Breakfast with the King”, a bi-monthly apostolic and prophetic ministry, and “Nehemiah Company”, a mentoring vision dedicated to mentoring mentors and empowering builders of the new Nigeria.

She is also the Chief Executive Officer of Nehemiah Apostolic Resource Centre, an apostolic epicenter located in Abuja. She serves on the leadership team of “Woman of Influence”, and she is also on the central working committee of “Apostles in the Marketplace.”

Apostle Obii is a sought after international conference speaker, coach, strategist and vision developer with an unquestionable passion for the Lord and dedication to raising leaders wherever she goes. To date several of those she led and mentored in England have risen to leadership positions with one of her former assistants now a member of the UK Prophetic Roundtable.
