Firm to Host Brands, Retailers in Drinks Festival

Operators in the beverage sector are set for a skill show off and industry groove as Africa’s Leading Event Management Company, Balmoral, hosts first International Drinks Festival in December.

The feast, which will take place in Lagos, is said to be the single largest gathering of stakeholders in the drinks’ business in Nigeria and will be graced by the crème de la crème of the music, movie, and the political class.

Announcing the event at a press conference, organisers of the event mentioned that the event which will take place between 1st and 3rd of December at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, would feature exhibition of various drinks brands, masterclasses with drink professionals and summits which will afford attendees opportunities to interact with beverage experts.

Judging by the report from Euromonitor International, a world-renowned business intelligence company, which states that Nigeria alone in 2016 consumed 36.68 million litres of soft drinks with its spirits market worth $ 6 billion, and beer accounting for 55% of the total market share, there are high hopes that the forthcoming event would stir a boost in the 2017 figures as the programme provides a platform to increase the exposure of Nigerian brands.

The function boasts to thrill attendees with abundant and massive choice of drinks ranging from soft, wine and champagne, distilled spirits, vodka, tequila, rum, whiskey gin, liquor drinks and many more.

Earlier in the year, the Lagos International Food and drinks Festival was held amid fanfare and pomp. The event was graced by Lagosians and visitors across the world.
