Academix Upgrades Platform , covers Corporate, Academic Bodies

Foremost e-Library service provider, Academix.ng, has boosted its offerings with its latest subscription offer for corporate organisations and academic institutions.

Before now, the firm only opened its content to single user who through an e-library card can access over 30 million multi-disciplinary learning resources including e-books, audio books, journals, reports and encyclopedic references.

The latest development means that the organisation can now support multiple users under the subscription of a single account.

Speaking on this development, Managing Director of the firm, Engr. Iso Bassey stated that the initiative was a dream come true.

“Being able to support corporate accounts is something that we have aspired to do from the beginning. Arriving here so quickly is a great accomplishment for our team. This gives us the opportunity to meet the specific needs of our bigger clients like universities and companies,” he said.

He added that the corporate subscription model was suitable for university programmes in need of the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation.

“For a very affordable fee, we can satisfy users’ requirements for a digital library.

“Our new offering is also able to provide users of academic institutions and corporate organisations access to over 30 million learning resources under a single account managed by an administrator.

“Users may log in simultaneously and use the digital library from any location as long as they have Internet connectivity. Administrators are provided back-end access where they can monitor both real-time and historical usage,” Bassey added.

Academix.ng was established in 2015 to meet the growing demand for African focused knowledge. It aggregates and hosts multi-disciplinary, Africa-focused research while also featuring journals, research papers, theses, dissertations and reports. The portal currently hosts over 108,000 research items and provides a gateway to over 20 million well-researched materials.
