Orhionmwon APC endorses Azebamwan as Acting State Publicity Secretary

Leaders and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State have endorsed the appointment of the current Acting Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Chris Azebamwan.

The endorsement was contained in a communique issued on Sunday, August 13, 2017, after a meeting of the party leaders in Orhionmwon Local Government Area.

The communique signed by 30 members of the party, saluted “the visionary leadership of the Governor of Edo State, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, for his dogged and unwavering determination to take Edo State to new heights regarding development and infrastructural rejuvenation.”

The Edo APC also applauded the efforts of the State Chairman of the party, Barrister Anslem Ojezua, and the entire leadership of the party, on “the far-sighted decision to resolve the long-standing crisis that plagued the position of Publicity Secretary of the party in the state.”

The party leaders urged Comrade Godwin Erhahon, the immediate past Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, “to concede that he was legally and validly removed from office” and join hands with the rest of the party members to move the party forward.

They advised the “state leadership of the party not to be distracted or derailed by the discordant notes of a few disgruntled individuals who are not loyal to the party.”

The Edo APC noted that the same people worked with the opposition to truncate and frustrate the electoral fortunes of the party in the last elections.

“We have by these resolutions expressed our absolute confidence in the government of Governor Godwin Obaseki and the state EXCO under the able leadership of Barrister Anslem Ojezua,” the Edo APC leaders said.
