Glo Laffta Fest Berths in Ikorodu  

The comedy show, Glo Laffta Fest, currently touring the nation is berthing in Ikorodu, Lagos State this Sunday afternoon. 

In the past 18 weeks, the highly celebrated comedy show has taken some of the continent’s best known humour merchants, such as Basketmouth and Bovi, across Nigeria, dispensing mirth and happiness.

 The next stop this Sunday, August 13, 2017 is Ikorodu where more than a dozen comics are expected to climb the stage and treat residents to hilarious jokes. Among the comedians expected to perform are Helen Paul, Bash, Kenny Black, Salvador from Uganda, Acapella, Gordons and Basketmouth. 

The show, slated for Ikorodu Musical Village at 1pm will attract some of Nigeria’s celebrated Thespians, such as Odunlade Adekola, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Mama G and Mr. Latin. 

The show anchors are two of Nigeria’s most accomplished actresses, Uche Jombo and Ebube Nwagbo, while dignitaries and very important personalities from all walks of life are expected to grace the occasion. 

“We are taking the fun to the heart of Ikorodu this Sunday. The people of this city should get ready to enjoy themselves like they have not done before. The experience will be simply breath-taking,” Globacom said in a press statement from its head office in Lagos on Friday. 

The show headliner, Basketmouth urged the people of Ikorodu to expect “a pleasant surprise” as he was coming fully prepared for them. Another of the accomplished comedians billed to perform, Godwin Komone, popularly known as Gordons, said it would be a Sunday to remember for the people of Ikorodu.

To attend the Ikorodu Glo Laffta Fest, Glo subscribers are expected to use up to N2,000 credit within one month and text LOL with the location name to the short code 240; for example, “LOL Ikeja” to 240. Subscribers who do not meet this criterion but who wish to attend the show are requested to go to the event venue with N2000 to purchase airtime for their own use. They will then be entitled to a ticket.
