It was an elegant gathering as friends, clients and fashionistas converged to view the latest in bespoke Italian furniture, furnishings and accessories as Trish ‘O’ threw open its doors to her new opulently designed Trish ‘O’ Luxury Interior Furniture and Couture plaza recently in Victoria Island Lagos.

The designs at the plaza depict royalty, luxury and exquisite craftsmanship, Patricia Onumonu a.k.a Trish O, who has been in the fashion business for over 10 years, explained she was inspired by the need to satisfy her craving for furniture and interior designs.
Guests were treated to canapés, cocktails and a fantastic fashion show, featuring the latest summer collection of the award-winning brand.

The Eponymous fashion brand enticed guests with super elegant pieces from its 2016/2017 ready to wear collection. There were detailed embellishments on structured and draped silhouettes architectural cuts on delicate fabrics such as lace, silk, Jacquard, leather, and Chiffon. The collection has a rich use of colours and fabrics that work for different body types and reflect different style personalities.

Onumonu, popularly known by her label Trish O’ Couture, was also inspired by her mum who used to be a seamstress and learnt how to start beading from the age of 12. After graduating from the University of Lagos with a degree in Philosophy, Onumonu decided to follow her passion in fashion and groom herself on the basics and details of female fashion. Having a keen eye for fabrics, Onumonu is able to select fabrics that pay distinct tribute to femininity. With the use of her vivid imagination, she is able to capture fairy-tale in modern day fashion. An idealist at heart, Onumonu is inspired by the feminine form, fairy tales and the concept of love and romance which she tries to infuse into her fashion and has successfully been able to satisfy a large clientele.

Trish ‘O’ Couture was successfully launched in 2007 as a luxury brand for women with finer taste in fabrics and style, and has focused on bespoke and ready to wear. Her collections are inspired by fairytales, romance, and feminine beauty with an African feel to it. The designer makes use of lace, velvet, sequins, feather, leather and Ankara prints on chiffon fabrics to portray both the sexiness yet softness of womanhood with the aim to have a global appeal to women across board.
