Chief Godwin Ezeemo, an Anambra based industrialist has picked the governorship forms of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.
Ezeemo, who spoke to reporters on returning to Anambra State after the purchase of the forms said he was issued with expression of interest and nomination forms to run for the upcoming gubernatorial primaries under, PPA at the party’s National Secretariat, Abuja.
The national chairman of the party, Chief Peter Ameh, was quoted as saying during the issuance of the forms that Ezeemo has been faithful and loyal to the party since joining the party and has been found worthy to bear the flag of the party in the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election if he emerges after the party’s primary come July 22, 2017.
Chief Ameh appreciated Ezeemo for his support in developing the party both at the state and National level and declared him the best person to represent the interest of the party in Anambra State.
Ezeemo reportedly doled out N5 million for the party’s nomination form, and another N2million for the expression of interest form.
Ezeemo told journalists on arriving Anambra that the state’s election would be a pilot scheme for PPA. He said he is confident that his party will win the Anambra governorship election.
He appreciated the party and its members for their support, and stated that the race will not be easy, but he was confident that he will win both the primaries and the gubernatorial election.
He said his team will do everything lawful to see that PPA wins the election, while assuring that it will not be business as usual anymore.
