The all-new Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been launched into the Nigerian auto market by the sole authorised dealer, Massilia Motors.

The all-new Pajero Sport showed its off-road capability on the beach-front of the LandMark Event Centre that overlooks the Eko Atlantic City. The grip and grit of the vehicle sprang to the fore on that beach sand.

Unveiling the vehicle during the week, the Deputy Managing Director of the company, Mr. Kunle Jaiyesimi described it as fantastic, having been produced from painstaking research and development.

Presenting the special features of the new Pajero Sport, the General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Navin Chander said the Pajero Sport was first launched in 1996, the second model was launched in 2008 and the all-new Pajero Sport was first launched in 2015 and then in late 2016 and now in Nigeria in the second quarter of 2017.

The all-new Pajero Sport is built on the platform of the Mitsubishi L200, it is a seven-seater with good steering wheel control and posh interior and best-in-class leg-room.

Its major competition is Ford Everest, Chevrolet, and Toyota Fortuna. It is a quiet drive with telescopic movement, which enables movement of the vehicle without much turn.

The new Pajero Sport’s lights are automatic like the wipers that spring to life once water lands

The regular Pajero and the Pajero Sport are two different models but the older generation Pajero was not launched in Nigeria because they were powered with diesel. However, the new Pajero Sport has petrol engine.

The just launched Pajero Sport is aerodynamic with off-road capability and city feel. It has LED lights and daylight running lights that complement the dynamic shield design.
