366 Drug Addicts Rehabilitated 

More than 366 persons are currently undergoing rehabilitation over drugs and drug related issues at the Centre for Research and Information on Substance Abuse (CRISA)-Care in Akwa Ibom State. The Project Manager of the CRISA-Care, Mr. Edimo-ubong Nelson disclosed this when conducting members of the Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Drugs and Narcotic Substances and the United Nations on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) around the drop-in centre in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. CRISA-Care, a non-profit organisation devoted to drug and alcohol research, prevention and treatment of substance use disorders is addiction drop-in centre providing counselling and other interventions to people with problematic drug use and their families. Members of the National Assembly Committees on Drugs and Narcotic Substances were in the state on a- three day retreat organised for them by the UNODC hence decided to inspect facilities at the CRISA-Care as part of their visit to the state.
