Firm Partners Aero on Restructuring, Upgrading of MRO Services

AJW Group, a market leader in the global management of aircraft spares, has signed an agreement with Aero Contractors, the Nigerian-based airline, to assist it in the restructuring and upgrading of its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) support services.

Aero Contractors, which has been carrying out A and B check on own aircraft and others, plans to upgrade its maintenance status to C-check, which is a higher level of maintenance for Boeing B737 aircraft.

According to statement from the Nigerian carrier, the agreement was signed in London recently and it was aim at enhancing the technical strength of Aero to successfully carry out C-checks and to expand its maintenance hangar located at its operational bade at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The statement explained that AJW Group would be supporting Aero Contractors with the upgrade of its MRO services to maintenance capabilities for Boeing 737 Classic and Bombardier aircraft.

“The enhancement of its MRO capabilities will ensure that maintenance is carried out to a very high standard, thus providing added quality assurance to their customers. In addition to their own fleet, Aero Contractors will be able to extend these services to third party operators both in-country and within the region.

“Furthermore, AJW Group will also be focusing on the management of Aero Contractors’ assets to deliver an effective return on investment, disposal of Aero Contractors’ PW105 engines and to provide support with engine shop visit management,” the statement said.
