Emirates Passenger Dies on Arrival at Lagos Airport

A Nigerian, Isaac Olusola Dada, who was said to have been ill, died of heart attack last Wednesday on arrival at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, after disembarking from Emirates flight from Dubai.

The deceased with passport number A04501199, was said to have slumped and died immediately he arrived at the airport terminal.

The report from police sources said while monitoring activities at the airport, it was gathered that the aforementioned passenger slumped on arrival at the checkport screening point at about 6:30p.m. and was quickly attended to and given medication by medical practitioners from Port Health.
However, the passenger was later pronounced dead at 7:34p.m.

The passenger was accompanied by his wife and members of the Lions Club on arrival and his remains was said to have been taken away by his wife to the morgue.

The deceased and wife flew from the United States through Dubai to Lagos.

THISDAY learnt that the deceased who was said to be a relation to one of the directors in the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), had been ill before embarking on the trip.
