The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has moved in to resolve the crisis that erupted in its chapter in Enugu State.
Crisis recently hit the Enugu chapter of the APC with the Deputy Chairman, Adulphus Udeh, and some other members being suspended.

The National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, met with one of the major stakeholders of the party in the state and the Minister of
Foreign Affairs, Mr. Geoffrey Onyeama, as part of consultations aimed at settling the crisis.
Addressing journalists after consultations with the party leadership, Onyeama said: “We discussed party issues. We talked about some of the recent issues particularly Osun State election. Some of the crises in Enugu state also were discussed and how we can manage primarily Enugu State situation before it gets out of hand.”

The minister said as one of the highest office holder from the state in the current administration, he would do everything possible to ensure that peace returns to the branch.
“So, it is something I have greatest respect for and we are expecting positive impact. I will take that on board. I will move ahead to seek for peace and as you know in Enugu state, I am one of the highest political office holders.

“I also have a responsibility to make sure that the crisis does not get out and see that everybody is working towards the same goal and to let say that we facilitate development and to support President Buhari’s change agenda of the party and jettison personal interest and ambition,” he said.
