Lawmaker Donates 50 Laptops to Students of Sokoto Varsity

The member representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Alhaji Abdussamad Dasuki, Monday donated 50 laptops and printers to students of Sokoto State University and other tertiary institutions in the state.

Speaking during the presentation of the laptops to the beneficiaries in Sokoto, Dasuki said it was part of his contribution towards improving the capacity of the students from Kebbe and Tambuwal Local Government Areas in the state-owned institution.

He stated that the distribution of the laptops was done based on merit to the beneficiaries to ensure equity and fairness.

The lawmaker described the initiative as part of his intervention to support students from his constituency studying in the university to excel in their studies.

“This is just a token gift to these students as part of my commitment towards improving the capacity of our future leaders,” he said, adding that in the last two years, he had provided scholarship to hundreds of students in his constituency.
