Magu Reiterates Resolve to Strengthen Fight against Corruption

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has stated his determination and resolve to strengthen the fight against corruption in the country.

Speaking at an interactive session with civil society organisations at the EFCC zonal office in Kano Friday, Magu said that corruption must fought to a conclusive end, adding that the war against corruption is a continuous exercise which must be won to have corrupt-free society.

According to him, “There is no way corruption will continue in this country. We have president and the vice-president that are serious on war against corruption. This is the only period in the history of Nigeria to have government that is serious against corruption.

“Corruption has also caused deterioration in the quality of infrastructure, healthcare delivery and education among others. So it is our duty to ensure we fight the scourge.

“The looters are just a few who are not up to 10,000 in the society compared to the population of the country of over 100 million people. We will make sure we save the country from the scourge of corruption.”
