PCNI Hosts Maiden Coordination Forum

In furtherance of its mandate of coordinating all interventions in North-east Nigeria, the Presidential Committee on the North-east Initiative (PCNI) will on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th of July 2017, host its maiden monthly Coordination Forum. 

According to a press release signed by the Chief Information Officer, PCNI, Odutayo Oduseyi, the event is aimed at promoting synergy among all humanitarian and development actors engaged in the North-east, enhancing operational frameworks, building delivery partnerships, augmenting capacities, identifying and filling gaps in the delivery of interventions.  

 A wide range of stakeholders from the public, private and non-profit sectors will be present to discuss, among other things, the challenge of mobilising and coordinating a vast array of state and non-state actors active in the recovery, rehabilitation and development efforts in the region.

 The Forum will also provide a common platform that supports all actors in the North-east, enable the exchange of information from stakeholders in the humanitarian and development spheres regarding their plans, strategies and challenges.

The discussions will revolve around critical themes such as: food security, nutrition, health, protection, early recovery and livelihoods, shelter and non-food items (NFI), education and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH).
