Hisbah Arrests 3 Traders for Selling Expired Fruit Juice in Sokoto

The Sokoto State Hisbah Commission has arrested three traders for allegedly selling expired fruit juice and drinks to consumers in the state.

The state commander of the commission, Alhaji Adamu Kasarawa, made this known Friday, while parading the suspects in Sokoto.

According to him, the suspects were nabbed following complaints from the members of the public.

He said the traders were arrested in the Sokoto metropolis while others were intercepted in border areas of Illela, Gudu, Gwadabawa,Tangaza and Sabon Birni Local Government councils while attempting to smuggle the expired products into the state.

Kasarawa explained that some residents of the metropolis who bought the drinks from the traders reportedly fell sick and the matter was reported to the commission.
