The Department of State Services  (DSS) Tuesday released the Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas, Mr. Ifeanyi Ubah, after several weeks in detention.

According to sources, Ubah was said to have been released ‘unconditionally’ by the DSS.
Ubah was arrested by the DSS some weeks back over economic sabotage and diversion of petroleum products to the tune of N11 billion.

The DSS had on May 7, 2017 arrested the Capital Oil MD, accusing him of “allegations by the NNPC that Ubah sold its 82 million litres of petrol valued at over N11 billion without appropriate authorisation by the corporation.”

The DSS had also in March demanded that Ubah reports daily to its headquarters, pending the conclusion of its investigation.
Ubah could not be reached for comments with regards to his release.
