NGO Hosts Fair to Boost SMEs

As part of efforts to push the small and medium enterprises beyond its present 47 per cent contribution  to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product, GDP, a non-governmental organisation, Rullion Capacity  Builder, is set to anchor a fair, targeted at SMEs operators in the country.

Although, the fair will be considering the youth and women population, its over all motives were to generate employment, improve local technology, output diversification and development of indigenous entrepreneurship amongst others.

The shopping fair which will hold on June 26 at Ikeja is tagged: ‘The Women’s Entrepreneurial Fair (WEF) 2017’ and will feature  start-ups and businesses in various sectors such as food processing, leatherworks, fashion and lifestyle.

Others are real estate, information technology and agriculture with the organisers  providing publicity materials to some of the participants to aid their visibility.

The Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Egedi, added that WEF also sought to showcase women owned businesses and provide an opportunity whereby they could  tap from the experiences of established businesses who will also be on ground  to exhibit their products and services at the fair.

“Guests should come ready to shop and drop with as little as N3,000 as participating businesses will be offering huge discounts on their products. The quality and array of products available will pleasantly surprise our guests. We will be taking the WEF Fair to other parts of Nigeria in the coming months to avail more entrepreneurs of our growth platform,” Egedi stated.
