Tambuwal: Recession Hampered Our Ability to Execute Gigantic Projects

Mohammed Aminu in Sokoto

Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Sunday said the ongoing recession has affected the ability of the state government to deliver gigantic projects in the state.

Making the remark at the All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting in Sokoto, Tambuwal said his administration came in with the zeal to execute gigantic projects that would transform the economy of the state.

The governor however, admitted that the recession was an impediment to the determination of the state government to achieve its goals.

“As you are aware, we came in with the zeal to execute projects that will transform the economic landscape and put Sokoto on the accelerated part of economic growth and development.

“Although, in spite of the economic situation in the country, we have been able to pay salaries and in the past two weeks had inaugurated projects executed by the present administration across the state,” he said.
