Former Governor Murtala Nyako of Adamawa state has said that it was too early to hit the state politics but revealed that when the time for politic is ripe , he will return prepared with his political arsenal to take charge.
The former governor made the disclosure at his residence in Yola, the state capital while addressing a mammoth crowd among which were mostly his supporters across the 21 local government areas of the state.
Nyako said the reason for his visit on Saturday was to sympathise and empathise with some of his relatives who lost their loved ones while he was out of the state.
“I am not here for politics, I am here for condolence visit. I lost some of my relatives of recent, that is why l am in state. But I am strategically coming returning when the time is ripe for politicking “
He said the mammoth crowd that gathered to welcome him and to sympathise with him over the demise of his love ones has justified that he has governed them well during his reign as the governor of the state.
The former governor said the court will soon determine his case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC over allegation of corruption and other offences.
He lamented from home and abroad he was not in custody of any stolen money adding if he has not governed well, such crowd wouldn’t have received him from the Yola International Airport to his residence.
The governor thanked his loyalist and people of the state for remaining resolute and steadfast in upholding peace and harmony despite their hardships.
He also appreciate President Mohammadu Buhari for winning the war against insurgency adding our people in the north east can go to bed with their eyes closed.
