NYSC DG Condemns Poor State of Facilities in Some Orientation Camps

By Hammed Shittu in Ilorrin.
Director General, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Suleiman Kazaure, on Tuesday condemned the poor state of facilities in some NYSC orientation camps in the country.

Kazaure, who spoke with journalists in Yikpata, Edu Local Government area of Kwara State after the facility tour of the camp, said: “We are touring all the NYSC orientation camps nationwide. We are here to see the facilities in the camp.

“The camps as you are all aware are the statutory responsibility of the state governments to provide camps and maintain the camps facilities.
“It is enshrined in the constitution but with what have seen here I am highly disappointed.”
The NYSC DG added: “The camp facilities are nothing to write home about. I appeal to those who can reach the state governor to come to our aid. There is room for improvement. The facilities are below standard.”
