First Deepwater Forces NBBF to Change Fixtures

First Deepwater Basketball team has forced the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) to alter some of the fixtures of the ongoing Zenith Bank Women league.

The non-arrival of the Lagos-based team has resulted in some alterations of match fixtures.
NBBF officials are still hopeful that Deepwater would arrive last night for the competition, hence, the rescheduling of some matches.
NBBF Scribe, Augustine Balewa, said all things being equal, Deepwater would be received on arrival.

Meanwhile, First Bank of Lagos has continued the domination of the league beating Taraba Hurricanes 100 – 22 points, Delta Force defeated Zamfara Babes 66 – 38 while Coal City girls lost 11 -29 to Sunshine Babes.

The IGP Queens on their part outplayed Benue Princess with 81- 63 points.
The league continues today with top teams like First Bank confronting youthful Dolphins side.
The NBBF scribe said the all efforts were on to ensure the second stage was a hitch-free competition.
“We are not relenting. We are working towards getting it right because this is a crucial stage of the competition since some of the teams will be dropped after the Kaduna event,” Balewa concluded.
