New Episode of Glo’s Professor Johnbull X-rays Ripple Effects of Public Panic

The new episode of the TV Drama Series, Professor Johnbull, sponsored by the grandmasters of data, Globacom, airing today on NTA Network, NTA International on DSTV Channel 251 and NTA on StarTimes at 8.30p.m. focuses on the issue of public panic without any justifiable reason.

The episode entitled 100 metres lampoons the situation where people run helter-skelter just because they saw a few other people running, without bothering to know the cause of the panic in the first instance.

Featuring Kanayo O. Kanayo, who plays the role of the erudite Professor Johnbull, the conscience of the sitcom, 100 metres also stars other regular cast of the Series such as Flash (Stephen Odimgbe), Jumoke (Bidemi Kosoko), Olaniyi (Yomi Fash-Lanso), Churchill (Jnr. Pope Odonwodo), Elizabeth (Queen Nwokoye), Mai Doya (Funky Mallam), Samson (Ogus Baba) and Abednego (Martins Nebo).

Announcing the new episode in Lagos on Monday, the Executive Producer of the Series said that “100 metres will address yet another vital issue in our day-to-day living as a people.
“At the end of the episode, the viewing public will be more educated on the reason why they should be more circumspect in joining the bandwagon of public panic without cause,” the statement added.

In 100 metres, viewers will be treated to transcendent satire on the bandwagon effect of public panic. In addition, they will also be treated to the drama of people running without knowing why. Salient questions that will arise in the episode include: who ignited the panic? Why do people first run and ask questions later? Should people run without knowing their destinations? Does the ‘infallible’ Professor Johnbull fall victim to public panic?

A repeat broadcast of the episode will be aired on Friday on the same channel and at the same time.
