Yellow House Wins Beehive School Inter-Sports Competition 

Yellow House was crowned the champions of the Beehive School 2017 inter-house sports competition held at the school’s sports ground at the weekend.

The house came tops with a total of 27 medals -13 gold, 10 silver and four bronze medals.

Blue House was second with 26 medals, 13 gold, eight silver and five bronze medals while Red House was third position with six gold, nine silver and 15 bronze medals, while Green House, ended up in pole position with 22 medals- three gold, eight silver and 11 bronze medals.

The event, which was held at the school’s newly constructed sports arena, witnessed a large turnout of parents, invited guests and pupils from schools around the Ikeja environs who participated in the schools invitational relays.

The sports competition saw pupils take part in various track and field events such as the 25 metres and 50 metres race for the nursery section while the primary pupils took part in the 100metres and relay races, high jump, sack race and filling the basket event.

It was an atmosphere of fun and excitement as guests participated in parents’ and grandparents’ race.

Speaking at the event, proprietress Beehive School, Mrs. Latifat Dosunmu expressed her excitement at the fact that pupils now have a standard pitch for sporting activities. She promised to continue investing in facilities to ensure that the pupils can develop their potentials to the fullest.
