New Ondo Gov, Akeredolu, Deputy Sworn in, Promises to Rebuild State

Amidst pomp and ceremony, the new Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), and his deputy, Mr. Agbola Ajayi, were sworn in on Friday by the acting Chief Judge of the state, Justice Temitayo Osoba, at a capacity filled Akure Township Stadium, in the state capital.

Governor Akeredolu promised to rebuild the state economy, resuscitate damaged infrastructure, restore hope and return the state to a prosperous land.

Akeredolu and Agbola were elected on November 26, 2016 on the platform of the All Progressives Congres (APC). The swearing-in was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life and party supporters from within and outside the state amidst tight security.

Some of the dignitaries at the occasion included: Senate President Bukola Saraki, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Lasun Yusuf, National Chairman of the APC John Odigie-Oyegun, the national leader of the party Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande and many party leaders from different states.
