Yusuf Gambo Hawaja, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, is dead. He died on Sunday at the Bingham University Teaching Hospital (BhUTH) in Jos the state capital.
Hawaja, it was gathered, has been suffering from an undisclosed ailment for a while and had slumped in his house on Sundaymorning. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he eventually died.
A lawyer in his chamber, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the news. Sympathisers were also seen trooping in and out of the residence of the deceased Sunday afternoon.
