Three of Jaguar’s models can now be had with a 247-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
The Jaguar XE, XF and F-Pace have all been updated for the 2018 model year with the addition of the new Ingenium 2.0-liter engine. The powerplant will be the entry-level motor for each of the 2018 models and marks the first time a four-cylinder engine is available on the F-Pace and the latest generation XF. That also means the 2018 Jaguar XF’s entry price has been lowered to $48,770 including destination.
Other enhancements to the models include the addition of an optional Powered Gesture Trunk Lid for the XF and XE sedan models for the first time, Forward Traffic Detection, Forward Vehicle Guidance, and a virtual 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with full-screen 3D navigation.
Jaguar is also the first automaker in the U.K. to allow customers to pay for gas at a Shell station using the touchscreen of their car. Ford announced a similar feature earlier this year for the U.S. The automaker expects to roll out the feature globally later this year.
While the Jaguar XF gains a more affordable, entry-level model, the Jaguar XE has a new variant sitting at the top of its range.
The Jaguar XE S is powered by a 340-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine and will start from $53,270. The entry-level XE 25t has a starting price of $34,730.
As for the Jaguar F-Pace, it will start at $43,060 for the 2018 model year with the 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. Those wanting the 340-hp model will have to shell out $49,970 minimum.
The 2018 Jaguar models will be heading to U.S. dealerships starting May 2017.
