Maserati Recalls Three Models for Potential Fire Hazards

Two different recalls are affecting at least 39,381 Maserati vehicles in North America.

The first recall affects the 2014-2017 Maserati Quattroporte, Ghibli and Levante models, with the automaker saying that adjusting the front seat may cause the seat wiring harness to rub against metal points. The defect could eventually lead to the seat malfunctioning and in rare cases, cause an electrical short increasing the risk of fire. Maserati expects to begin the recall of 39,381 vehicles on March 21.

The second recall involves select 2014-2015 Quattroporte and Ghibli units, which have fuel lines that may leak fuel. That recall affects a total of 10,879 units and will begin on February 28.
