Agbani Darego’s Wrong Move?

By providence, Ibiagbanidokibubo Asenite Darego, famously known as Agbani Darego, had put her fatherland on the global map when she was crowned Miss World in 2001.

The Rivers State-born beauty can aptly be described as one of the best things to have happened to Nigeria. Hers was a shared victory among her compatriots, especially because it portrayed Nigeria’s positivity at a time the country was battling with an image problem.

Interestingly, 16 years after her big win, the 35-year-old has continued to stay relevant in the modeling, entertainment and fashion world.

However, the graduate of New York University has been unable to replicate this magic in the business frontier, as her AD Collection has not fared well.

Spyglass gathered that the Lekki-based outfit, which was launched two years ago, is now a shadow of itself, as customers are no longer patronising the business.

It was further gathered that the shop now serves as her office and hardly opens everyday.
