Adeleke: Eternal Vigilance, Price for Liberty

Senator Isiaka Adeleke, the first governor of Osun State has called on the good people of the state, to continue to live together in peace and harmony, in order to ensure accelerated development of the state, no matter the odds.

This was contained in a Christmas message, issued by his media adviser, Olumide Lawal, on the occasion of 2016 Christmas celebration.

Senator Adeleke emphasized, that the cooperation and unalloyed loyalty of Osun citizenry for Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s government, at this time of economic downturn is very important, stressing that, tough times don’t last, tough people do. He was of the opinion, that despite the lean financial resources all over the country, APC – led government at all levels, continue to deliver on all its cardinal programmes, including the laudable projects embarked upon by Aregbesola for enduring benefits of the people.

 Adeleke further appealed to Osun citizens, to go about their daily duties peacefully, without upsetting the tranquility in the state. “They should also embrace politics without bitterness at all times.”

The Asiwaju of Edeland, said he remains a loyal and dedicated member of APC, who will always work for the progress of the party and make the party wax stronger. Senator Adeleke, also called on the people of Osun West Senatorial District in particular, to be assured, that he would continue to serve them well, so as to make life meaningful for them, as his hands are already on the plough, to effect meaningful dividends of democracy for them. He enjoined the people of Osun West District, to continue to support APC and be steadfast, assuring, that they will not regret doing so, stating that the Buhari government “is not out to make life difficult for Nigerians.”

Senator Adeleke called on Christians all over the District and beyond, to imbibe the spirit of humility and perseverance, which Jesus Christ displayed during His lifetime.

He appealed to all and sundry, particularly at this festive mood, to be eternally vigilant and watch out for evil- intentioned people, who might want to use the celebration time to perpetrate evil acts, stressing that eternal vigilance is the price for liberty.

Adeleke urged Christians to re-dedicate themselves anew to the service of Almighty God, and improve on their inter-personal relationship, most especially, towards the needy and the less – privileged members in the society.  According to him, “we should not look down on people with one form of disability or the other, since we are all creations of one and only one God”.
