Saraki, Dogara, Govs in Sokoto for Tambuwal Daughter’s Wedding

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker of House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and some Governors were in Sokoto Saturday for the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Governor Aminu Tambuwal, A’isha.

A’isha was given out in marriage to the son of Katsina business mogul Dikko Dahiru Mangal.

The wedding was contracted by five prominent scholars, which include the Sarkin Malaman Sokoto, Sheikh Buhari Sirdawa, the national chairman of Jamaatul Izalatul Bidaa Waikamatul Sunnah Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau, Sheikh Sani Yahya Jingir among others. The sum of N100,000 of dowry was paid by Dikko Dahir Mangal.

The Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami led the federal government delegation, comprising the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Lawal Babachir, Ministers of Defence, that of Aviation (state) and as well as the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media, Malam Garba Shehu.

The wedding which took place at the residence of the Governor also attracted prominent personalities from within and outside the country. It was also besieged by lawmakers from the national and states’ assembly.

The Governors who were at the ceremony include that of Zamfara who served as the representative of the bride, Kebbi, Bauchi and Katsina states.
