In Juices and soft drinks Chivita and Coca Cola beat other competing brands; Maggi and Knorr knocked out other seasoning brands while Lipton Yellow Label and Devon King vegetable oil were named the brands with the most equity in Hot Tea and vegetable oil categories.

Speaking before the presentation of the awards held at Southern Sun Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, the Managing Director of Kankar Milward Brown, Mr. Aggrey Maposa, explained that amidst the myriad of awards that dogged the Integrated Marketing Communication Industry (IMC), Kankar Public award stood out in the sense that the result of the award was based on empirical research of brands performances in the Nigeria market place.

Unlike other awards, Maposa said winners of the maiden Kankar Milward Brown Brand Equity Award emerged out of the study of the brands performance in the market.

“What we track is the brand equity in different categories in Nigeria and across the world.” He added.
