Mimiko Unveils Mega Schools in Oke Agbe Tomorrow

Further manifesting his commitment towards ensuring sustainable level of quality, standard and affordable education in the state, Ondo state Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko has scheduled tomorrow Monday, November 14 and Tuesday for the unveiling of two additional Mega schools in the state.
The Mimiko-led government initiated the Mega school scheme in the state and has launched 52 of such school till date.

According to a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, in Akure yesterday, Mimiko will unveil a mega school in Oke-Agbe in Akoko, North Senatorial District tomorrow Monday and will also launch a multi-purpose town hall in the town on the same day. It will be the turn of Ijare in Ifedore local government to witness the unveiling of the latest to the over 50 mega schools in the state.

Positing that the introduction of Mega schools in the state has provided an enduring conducive teaching and learning environment and thus, rejuvenated the educational sector in terms of quality and standard towards achieving a globally acceptable height in the state, Akinmade submitted that the project is a genuinely fashioned-out viable mechanism to ensure that the schools meet up with the objective of raising students and pupils that can favourably compete with their counterparts across the globe.

The schools slated for unveiling, according to the government spokesman, like the ones before them, will have well trained and qualified teachers on ground to drive the mega school vision.
The schools it was mentioned, are well equipped with modern facilities, such as multipurpose hall, expansive playing grand, administrative block, standby generating set, resource centre, Internet connected computer laboratory, sick bay, library, toilet facility, potable water, recreation facilities among others, “put in place to providing the most comfortable and aesthetic environment for students in a bid to raise vibrant future leaders.” the statement read in part.
