The new management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has been told to drop all political intrigues in the execution of its mandate.

Instead, it was urged to spread developmental projects and infrastructure across the oil producing states.

The President General of a non-governmental organisation (NGO) committed to dousing tension in the region through poverty alleviation and development, the Niger Delta Network Advancement Programme (NDNAP), Hon. Al Mustapher Emem Edoho gave the advice on Thursday in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

He said the new management should work towards spreading the dividends of democracy to cover the nine Niger Delta States by fixing core infrastructure like roads, electricity, water, and offering scholarships and job creation.

While pledging to rally the youths of Niger Delta to support the Commission’s quest to develop the region, the group urged the NDDC management to churn out people-oriented programmes in agriculture, micro credit and entrepreneurial schemes.
