Ogunmodede Replaces Okagbue at Remo Stars FC

Remo Stars Football Club has appointed Daniel Ogunmodede as head coach  after Uche Okagbue ended his two-year stint  with the Ogun State-based side.
Ogunmodede who joined the Sky Blue Stars at the start of the 2014/15 season as an assistant and youth team coach was promoted from his former position as the head coach .
“Daniel’s qualities show that he has the experience of the top-level game,” Team Manager, Yinka Samuel, announced at the weekend. “He  knows our football philosophy and therefore there will be  continuity. We always want to give advantage to people who know how we work.”
Former youth team Assistant Coach, Yinka Sokabi, is the new youth team coach, while former Remo Stars defender Adeniyi Babatunde will  serve as  his assistant.
Meanwhile, Ogunmodede has expressed delight over his appointment. “It is more than exciting, it is an absolute privilege and an honour,” he affirmed.
He admitted to be aware of the enormity of the task ahead of the NPFL debutants. “I know it requires a lot and with my wealth of experience at the club I remain positive. It’s a bigger stage for us in the Premier League and I am keen to do my very best to ensure we have a good season.”
