Ayade Makes 1,106 New Appointments

Cross River State Governor, Professor  Ben Ayade, has announced the appointment of additional  1,106 persons into his administration.

The new appointees include Special Advisers, Special Assistants, Personal Assistants as well as the Chairmen and members of board, commissions, departments and agencies.
A press statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Ita, stated that 799 were appointed into various boards commissions and agencies.

The statement indicted that the remaining appointments are as follows: Special Advisers (6); Senior Special Advisers (30); Special Assistants (75); Personal Assistants (25), Personal Assistants to paramount rulers (16); Representatives of each local government in the State Food Bank Unit (90); Liaison Officers for the 18 local government area and three senatorial districts (21); Special Assistants on Religious Affairs (18); and permanent secretaries (26).

According to the announcement, the appointments takes effect from November 1, 2016.
The new appointments has brought to about 2,000, the number of people appointed by Ayade since he assumed office on May 29, this year.
Before the recent appointments, the governor had made about 800 appointments into his government.
