Ifeanyi Ubah’s  Unusual Birthday Celebration

Ifeanyi Ubah,CEO, Capital Oil, is one businessman who is always in the news for different reasons.

Call him Mr. Controversy, and you may not be totally wrong. But those who know him claim that he is an impressionist.

It will be recalled that he once threw a carnival-like party when he turned 40 in 2011. The octane party, which was attended by A-list musicians and top Nollywood actors, was on the lips of many for a long time.  Indeed, that was all that he needed to register his presence in the consciousness of his compatriots.

Penultimate weeks, many had looked forward to seeing him put up another elaborate party, as he turned 45. But typical of a man who loves to swing surprises, he toed a different path entirely.

It was gathered that the Anambra State- born billionaire shunned an elaborate party and opted for a quiet trip abroad with his family to the consternation of many. To him, the occasion called for some sober reflection.  A source revealed further that the businessman is pained by the situations of the economy; hence, his option to mark his birthday low-key, as a way of empathising with the suffering masses in Nigeria.

The visionary  chief executive officer and managing director, Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited, no doubt is an ambitious business tycoon who from the very day he joined the oil and gas business, decided to distinguish himself and the company creditably. Through dint of hard work, personal conviction to succeed, visionary leadership and doggedness, he has in a matter of nine years, between 2003 and 2011, taken Capital Oil & Gas Industries Limited to an enviable position of becoming a dominant leader in the downstream sector of the Nigerian oil and gas industry. He also sits on the board of several other companies as chairman, among which are; Knoll & Hachfer Engineering Co Ltd, Chevron Oronite & Chemical Co Ltd, Hero Communications Ltd, First Nigeria Independent Oil Co Ltd, Commodity Giants, Nigeria Limited and Oil Force Nigeria Limited.
