Police Warn against Breakdown of Law, Order

As Supreme Court is set to deliver its judgement on the Kogi State governorship election next week, the Kogi State Police Command has warned that anybody who took laws into his or her hands would be dealt with according to the law.

The state Police Commissioner, CP Abdullahi Chafe gave the warning yesterday while addressing newsmen in his office on the forth-coming Supreme Court judgement. He stressed that intelligence report reaching the command showed that some miscreants were planning to create crisis before, during and after the Supreme Court judgment next week Tuesday.

According to the Commissioner of Police, his command was fully ready to deal with whoever disobeyed the law, stressing that there would not be any kind of public celebration by anybody or groups after the Court judgement. He also warned each political party to caution their supporters to guide against anything inimical to the growth and development of the state, stressing that Kogi State was greater than anybody. “Police will not waste any time in dealing with law breakers within the Constitutional requirement” he said.
