Kano Police Command Advises Herdsmen on Kidnappers, Armed Bandits

Ibrahim Shuaibu in Kano

The Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mr Rabiu Yusuf, has advised herdsmen living around the notorious Falgore forest in Doguwa Local Government Area of the State to organise themselves and settle in one place.

The commissioner said instead of living in clusters at the brink of the forest, coming together at one place will make it easier for security operatives to carry out their duties effectively.

He said if the herdsmen could settle in one particular place or location, it will assist the police in checking the activities of kidnappers and other forms of armed banditry.

The State police commissioner stated these on Friday during an assessment visit to some communities affected by the activities of kidnappers and armed bandits in the area.

He urged them to always be security-conscious and report any suspicious movement to the Police for quick response.
